Brett’s a Viking Now

So Brett Favre has come out of retirement – again, and has signed with the Vikings….

This is one of those stories that everyone has an opinion on.  Was it Green Bay’s fault that Brett went elsewhere? Should Brett make up his mind and stay retired? If you’re a Vikings fan, are you thrilled to get Brett for his last go around? Or are you just completely annoyed by this whole situation?

My take: Green Bay had every right to move forward and start working with their QB of the future once Brett said he wanted to retire. No, I don’t blame them for not jumping at the chance to bring Brett back.  Yes, Brett is annoying for changing his mind. Will the Vikings really benefit from having him this season?  I can’t predict the future, but having Joe Montana didn’t bring the Kansas City Chiefs to glory, did it?  Also, no matter when Brett finally retires for good – he’ll always be remembered and honored as a Packer and never a Viking. Is it worth $18 million? You tell me….
