One Day Drive Collects Over Million Pounds of… by Clear99

After opening the show with Roll Me Away, we heard it all: Night Moves, Turn The Page, Old Time Rock N’ Roll, Travelin’ Man into Beautiful Loser (my personal fave), Horizontal Bop, Come To Poppa, Still The Same, Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man, Fire Down Below, Katmandu and many others. 

If you’ve read many articles about Bob Seger, you know he’s a perfectionist. And he’s carried that over into staffing the Silver Bullet Band.  There were 15 band members including Seger – featuring a full brass section and 3 female backup singers and percussionists.  The bass player has been with Bob since 1969 and the sax player since 1971.  You can expect wonderful musicianship from professionals that have played together than long, and that’s what we got.

I was so into the show that I did not even pay attention to the total length of it, but the band came back for two encores and I doubt anyone left disappointed.  The crowd was an interesting mix as well – we saw people aged 20 to 70, all lovin’ the show.  Since Bob has hinted that he may not be up to touring again, we’re lucky to have experienced it while we could.
