Classic AC/DC Song Rocks New Roseanne TV Promo

AC/DC, who have in recent years laxed their stance on licensing their music for advertising, has given then rightful nod to allow ABC’s revival of Roseanne to use “Whole Lotta Rosie”.

The one minute spot, which can be seen below, debuted Sunday night during the Oscars.

The series, which is set to launch March 27 at 7 pm CT with back-to-back episodes, will see the return of original stars Roseanne Barr (Roseanne), John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Michael Fishman (DJ), Lecy Goranson (Becky) and Sarah Chalke, who also played Becky but is returning for a new character.

Former AC/DC frontman Bon Scott was said to wrote the lyrics for “Whole Lotta Rosie” about a large Aussie woman who was a groupie at the band’s 1976 Queenstown concert.
