I can understand needing a ride home, but today’s dumbass should’ve come up with a different option. 77-year-old John Neal of Chicago was leaving a hospital and hopped into an ambulance outside and drove off towards his house. He got about 10 miles before police caught up with him. When they asked him why he stole the ambulance, John said “I needed a ride.” I guess calling a friend, relative or taxi never occurred to him. On top of never making it home, John is now charged with car theft and driving without a license.
