OK….anyone who knows me, knows I’ve been a huge Chiefs fan for many years…..and unfortunately, it just keeps getting harder to stay excited about the franchise. What a crap year: 3 and 11 so far, and this past weekend against the Browns was the first time Arrowhead wasn’t sold out in years and the game was blacked out. Not that I would’ve wanted to watch it with 10 dropped passes and horrible officiating.
So what do you do? Do you stay calm and think “we’re rebuilding and it’ll take some time for Haley to develop the talent.” Jamaal Charles is a standout, but how much can Haley do with the amount of talent on the team? Could Haley develop the talent even if it was available? And to think I used to bitch about Marty Schottenheimer….be careful what you wish for. Marty Ball was a picnic compared to this season.
So, what do you want to see the Chiefs do? Are you willing to continue to be a fan for however long it takes? I might be gnawing my teeth by halftime pretty much every weekend, but there’s still no place better than tailgating at Arrowhead on football Sunday.
