A new augmented reality app designed to share David Bowie’s life and career will be narrated by actor Gary Oldman.
The popular exhibit “David Bowie Is” is opening up to a broader audience by releasing an app based on his life and career. Narrating the app will be Gary Oldman, who worked with Bowie on the ’96 film Basquiat and was in Bowie’s music video “The Next Day”.
“This brings the amazing ‘David Bowie Is’ exhibition to a wider audience,” Oldman said in a press release. “It’s great that his fans get to experience it. It was a privilege to be involved.”
The app is scheduled to launch January 8th, which would be Bowie’s 72nd birthday and will allow users to interact with “the show’s hundreds of costumes, videos, handwritten lyrics, original works of art, and more.”
