Lindsey Buckingham’s Touring the same time as Fleetwood Mac

More drama from the band infamous for infighting and kicking out members. C’mon Fleetwood Mac, get your sh*t together.

Fleetwood Mac’s no stranger to lineup changes, recently firing Lindsey Buckingham right before their 50th anniversary tour. Claiming they “hit a brick wall” in tour negotiations with Buckingham as he was not as keen as heading out on a long tour like his fellow bandmates.

But now, Buckingham is heading out on tour…..at the same time Fleetwood Mac will be hitting the road. While they won’t overlap cities (because that would be awkward) it does raise the question of why Buckingham was dismissed in the first place. Was it really due to tour schedules or more an ego trip? During a recent solo performance Lindsey Buckingham talked about his split from Fleetwood Mac- his side, his feelings, and even taking the high road to not bash anybody else in the band.

It hasn’t been long since Lindsey Buckingham left Fleetwood Mac (he was quickly replaced with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ Mike Campbell and Crowded House’s Neil Finn) but the band is moving on and already talking about recording new music together. The band has released a statement upon their split with Buckingham, “We are thrilled to welcome the musical talents of the caliber of Mike Campbell and Neil Finn into the Mac family. With Mike and Neil, we’ll be performing all the hits that the fans love, plus we’ll be surprising our audiences with some tracks from our historic catalogue of songs.  Fleetwood Mac has always been a creative evolution.  We look forward to honoring that spirit on the upcoming tour.”

Buckingham’s tour won’t be coming to Missouri but you can catch him in Kansas
