People who down energy drinks are more likely to be jerks.

A new study published in Health Psychology has found a strong correlation between enjoying a lot of energy drinks and being a dick.

The study sought to find “the relationship between masculinity ideology, outcome expectations, energy drink use, and sleep disturbances.”

After surveying 467 adult males both in person and online, there was a strong correlation between sticking to “masculine ideology,” unhealthy sleep habits, and higher energy drink intake.

Now masculine ideology isn’t a great phrase for what they’re saying here. They mean “acting like a douchebag” but in scientific form.

The important lesson here is regardless of when/how you get your caffeine intake, don’t be a dick!
