Photos of Guns N’ Roses axeman Slash in a recording studio have started appearing online.
Alternative Press is reporting that Slash may not be in the studio to record new material for Guns N’ Roses, but rather a new solo album. In an interview with Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti he has stated that 2017 was dedicated to touring with Myles Kennedy fronting the band. Then the following year everybody in Alter Bridge will go their separate ways. Tremonti said he was going to work on his next solo album & Kennedy would go sing on what Slash is recording.
The last Slash solo album with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators World On Fire came out in 2014.
Guns N’ Roses have made no indication that the band was going to record any new music despite the success of the Not In This Lifetime Tour. The last GNR album Chinese Democracy came out in 2008, which only featured Axl as the sole original member. The last GNR album to feature Axl, Slash, & original bassist Duff McKagan was The Spaghetti Incident?, a covers collection that was released in 1993.
