Styx Performs “Mr. Roboto” Live For The First Time In 35 Years

At the first show of their tour with Tesla and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts in Irvine, California Styx out of nowhere busted out a classic.

Styx began their encore with “Mr. Roboto” from their 1983 concept album Kilroy Was Here written by Dennis DeYoung, who left the group in 1999. In a recent interview current keyboardist Lawrence Gowan said he leaves the set lists up to the rest of the band since they have been their long before his inclusion, but said they always never liked “Mr. Roboto”, but did include it for a while in a short melody of songs for the fans.
