Teenage Trick or Treat?

How old is too old when it comes to trick or treating? I was 13 or 14 the last time I went out on the annual candy quest. As I recall, I did have a few neighbors giving me the evil eye. Maybe it was because I was a teenager asking for candy, or maybe it was because they were threatened by my awesome Zorro costume.

Belleville, Il has a law prohibiting any trick or treaters over the age of 12. They say it is to put adults at ease so they aren’t answering their door in the middle of the night to a 6 foot, 200 pound dude wearing a mask. Or maybe those sweet tooth bastards don’t want to give all their candy away…
