Would Dave Grohl Replace Neil Peart In Rush?

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Foo Fighters frontman was asked if he would ever consider replacing Neil Peart in Rush.

Grohl responded by saying that he’s not physically or musically capable of doing that. He called Peart a whole other animal or species of drummer.

He then went on to compare himself to the drummer for The White Stripes, Meg White against Neal Peart. Grohl also said that White is his daughter’s favorite drummer and she plays her drums to The White Stripes & AC/DC.

But since Rush’s final tour it doesn’t look like the band will continue to be active as Peart has retired & the band has stated that they won’t go on unless all three of them agree to do something.

Grohl and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins inducted Rush into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2013, performing “2112 Overture” with producer Nick Raskulinecz while dressed up like Rush circa 1976, complete with wigs, platform shoes and kimonos.
