Columbia and Boone County officials issue a Stay at Home order.
It will go from Wednesday (3/25) morning at 8 am and last for at least 30 days (April 24th) to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.
The officials said at a press conference Tuesday morning (March 24) they are trying to slow the spread of COVID-19. Only leave your house for essential activities. There are several things that count as “essential”…like getting food and gas, visiting the doctor and picking up meds, and exercising outside as long as you practice social distancing.
Curbside services can still be provided by local restaurants.
More info on the order at 939theeagle.com. St. Louis and Kansas City have similar Stay at Home orders now in effect. Cole County is advising it, but not ordering it, as of this morning (March 24).
