Jon Pardi Covered Metallica

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Black Album, there is going to be an album called “The Blacklist” released in September. It will feature more than 50 artists doing songs on the album, and it’s producing things like this.

Jon Pardi, a country singer, did a version of “Wherever I May Roam” and um…whut.

Here is the video they put out for it:

Yikes.

The rest of the album features some names you’ll probably recognize like Weezer, Corey Taylor, and…you ready for this? Miley Cyrus featuring Elton John, Yo-Yo Ma, Robert Trujillo, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Watt doing “Nothing Else Matters”.

It’s an…eclectic album. However, proceeds are going to benefit a lot of charities, so at least they’re doing something good with this and some of the listing are actually pretty interesting. Chris Stapleton doing “Nothing Else Matters” is probably really good.

You can learn more about the album here.
