Journey announced a nine show residency at Las Vegas’s Caesars Palace starting this October.
After a huge tour with Def Leppard in 2018, Journey members had taken a break from the band to focus on solo projects.
Founder Neal Schon has been working with former Journey members Gregg Rolie and Deen Castronovo on the side project Journey Through Time, spotlighting the band’s earlier albums with a few hits thrown in as well as a new solo album (due this August). Frontman Arnel Pineda is avoiding Journey songs at his solo gigs in favor of covering Deep Purple, Rush, and AC/DC. Jonathan Cainn (on the keys) has been working on the release of his new solo album More Like Jesus representing his born-again Christian beliefs.
The band reunites this October for a nine-day run in Vegas’s impressive Caesars Palace which will undergo renovations this summer to update their sound system and add a high-definition video wall.
Ticket prices begin at just $69 and go on sale to the general public April 19 at 10AM PT, with a pre-sale for American Express card holders beginning tomorrow at 10AM PT.
