Cosmo Park Ride:

Directions:

  • Start at Cosmo Park in Columbia
  • Exit the park and turn west on Business Loop 70
  • Turn right on Stadium Blvd. / State Hwy E
  • End at the intersection of State Hwy E & Route 124

Notes:

  • If you don’t have a lot of time, this is the perfect ride to take
  • State Hwy E has some of the best twists and turns in the Columbia area
  • Pro Tip: Double-check the route doesn’t have a road closure due to flooding
  • Alternative Route: For a longer ride, turn right on 124 and continue on to Hwy 63 which you can take back to Columbia

Wine Glass-Go Ride:

Directions:

  • Start at Perche Creek Cafe
  • Head northwest on US-40 W toward N Ivy Ln
  • Turn right onto MO-240 W
  • Turn right onto MO-240 Business E
  • Turn right onto Commerce St
  • Head west on Commerce St toward 1st St
  • Turn left onto 1st St
  • Turn left onto MO-240 E/MO-5 S/MO-87 S
  • Turn left onto US-40 E
  • Turn right onto MO-240 Spur E
  • Turn left onto 3rd St
  • Finish at Les Bourgeois Vineyards

Notes:

  • Grab some food at Perche Creek Cafe for lunch
  • Check out the river overlook in Glasgow
  • Enjoy the curves all along the route
  • An adult beverage at the winery caps a nice ride

Little Dixie Ride:

Directions:

  • Start in Ashland at the intersection of Hwy 63 and Route Y
  • Head east on Route Y
  • Turn left on Route J
  • Continue on Route J into Millersburg
  • Finish at Little Dixie Lake Conservation Area

Notes:

  • The first half along Route Y has excellent twists and turns
  • The last half has long straightaway stretches
  • Pro Tip: Bring a fishing pole and enjoy some fishing at the end
  • Alternative Route: For a longer ride, turn off Route J to Route H which will take your Hwy 54. From there you can take Hwy F back toward Little Dixie.

Power Plant Ride:

Directions:

  • Start at the intersection of Hwy 63 Broadway (Hwy WW) in Columbia and head east
  • Continue straight on Hwy F
  • Turn left on Market Street
  • Use the 3rd exit of the roundabout to 2nd E. 2nd Street (Hwy O)
  • Turn right on Hwy D
  • Continue straight on Hwy 94 West toward Jefferson City
  • Turn right on Hwy C
  • Finish back in Fulton

Notes:

  • The best part of this ride is Hwy O with all its twists and turns
  • As well as awesome views of the Callaway Power Plant, including driving right past it
  • Hwy D is the roughest part of the ride with the road needing some care, take it slow
  • Pro Tip: Hwy 94 has a couple of views of the Missouri River but can be prone to flooding, check ahead
  • Alternative Route: From Hwy 94, take Hwy CC back up to Hwy O and ride it in the opposite direction

Big Tree Ride:

Directions:

  • Start at the intersection of Hwy 63 and Route 163 south of Columbia
  • Turn left on Rte K (Providence Rd.)
  • Turn left on Hwy O
  • Finish at I-70

Notes:

  • The star of this ride is the famous “Big Tree” in McBaine. This is the largest Bur Oak Tree in the state
  • Great twists and turns throughout
  • The ride straightens out on Hwy O at the end but gives to rolling hills that are just as fun
  • Pro Tip: If you’re looking to continue your ride, Hwy O turns into Hwy J at I-70. Just keep going…
