The documentary celebrates the band’s 50th anniversary with exclusive interviews including a rare session with the late John Bonham.
Led Zeppelin announced an official documentary about the band to celebrate their 50th anniversary is nearly completed. The currently untitled documentary is the first official Zeppelin documentary the band has participated in and features exclusive interviews from band members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and the late John Bonham.
Directed by Bernard McMahon, the documentary traces the journey of the four members through the music scene of the 60’s and their first rehearsal that changed the future of rock a culminates in ’70 when they became the number-one band in the world.
Jones commented, “The time was right for us to tell our own story for the first time in our own words, and I think that this film will really bring that story to life.”
A release date has not been announced at this time.
