Queen + Adam Lambert opened the 2019 Oscars ceremony with a performance of several hits.
The band opened with “We Will Rock You”, giving Brian May a sweet solo that the attendees ate up. “We Are the Champions” had the crowd singing along, fist pumping and swaying in their designer clothes as Lambert and May wooed the crowd. A video of ‘King Freddie’ played behind the band during the grand finale and cut away to Rami Malek, soon to be awarded Best Actor for his portrayl of Freddie Mercury in the awarding-dominating smash biopic Bohemian Rhapsody (and fell off stage immediately after).
