The Rolling Stones release previously unheard “Scarlet” featuring Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page & Blind Faith bassist Rick Grech.

The Rolling Stones originally recorded this song in October 1974 & it will now be included on their upcoming Goats Head Soup 2020 album coming out on September 4th on the box set, deluxe CD, & vinyl editions. Also included in the Goats Head Soup reissue will be “All The Rage” & “Criss Cross” along with many other rarities, outtakes, & alternative mixes.

Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards recalled how they came into the studio after a Led Zeppelin session as The Stones were booked in next. Jimmy Page decided to stay around. The band wasn’t intending to cut the song, but record a demo version just to get the feel of it, but with everybody there onboard it came out well & with the lineup they had they decided they better use it.
