Say hello to our newest addition to team KCMQ, April!
I fell in love with radio at the tender age of 10, when I used to call and bother the DJ’s on air to play my requests. Unfortunately for the masses, someone gave me a microphone in college and I have been hooked ever since!
I am a weird mix of Texas and Illinois, a proud Gen Xer and a self-proclaimed foodie. Pizza is my favorite food of course, and if you mix it up I could probably live on that forever! Some of my favorite artists are Jack White, Foo Fighters, Korn, Hendrix, and basically anything Trent Reznor has ever done.
You can catch me on the off hours hanging out with my Hubs and my rescue dogs, Jeepin and probably watching The Office for the 900th time. And speaking of re-watching, my favorite movie is Rocky Horror and I have now seen it 187 times. I am also a huge weather geek, and have been a storm spotter for more than 20 years.
I have been called a throwback, and I am totally fine with that. I love vinyl, still hand write notes, and drive a stick every day.
Radio is my passion, and my all-time favorite spot is behind the microphone. Being a huge KCMQ fan, I am delighted and honored to be a small part of your day. Thank you!
