Happy Blue Monday… The Saddest Day of the Year
Today is supposed to be the saddest day of the year due to the cold, post-holiday stress, resolution failures, and of course… it being Monday. Though scientists have stated there is no real research behind this.
So how can you perk up on the saddest day of the year? Just remember, The Chiefs handily defeated Miami this weekend! Pretty sweet.
Shags Shower Did Not Turn On This Morning…
Shags went to turn on his shower this morning… and nothing came out of the faucet.
What could be the issue?
- Busted pipe?
- Faucet value broken?
- Sabotage?
Shags will call Brian Wear Plumbing to find out and report back.
But if you’re looking for a good way to look up, panic about having a busted pipe when you wake up!
The Feds Do Not Like Creative Writing
We have all seen the highway signs that say messages like: “Buckle Up, Phone Down” or “Drive Sober, or Get Pulled Over”.
Some are more creative than others, and the federal government does not like it! The Fed has passed a new rule that states will have to stop with the creative messages feeling they are too distracting and cause accidents.
Shags and Trevor feel the creative messages help with reader retention and are more effective at delivering the message.
States have a few years to comply, but say goodbye to funny messages like:
- Tailgating is for football, not highways
- Visiting in-laws? Slow down, get there late
- Get your head out of your apps
- Don’t be a sticker, use your blinker
- 100 is the temperature, not the speed limit

Shags Survived Arrowhead!
Shags went to the Cheifs game this weekend to watch them beat Miami in -27 degree wind chill!
According to Shags, he didn’t get cold once. He was so bundled up that he had difficulty moving but never got a chill. He explained how he layered, but frankly it was so many we lost count.
Shags said if given the opportunity he would absolutely do it again. And he may get the chance. If the Steelers win against Buffalo tonight, the Chiefs will face Houston at Arrowhead next weekend.

Unspoken Office Rules
Last week we discussed unspoken office rules. Today, Shags and Trevor asked listeners to share some of their favorites.
- Do not schedule a meeting Friday afternoon
- No stinky foods in the microwave
- Don’t steal lunch from co-workers
- If the coffee pot is low, make more coffee
- Do not reach into a communal bag of chips, pour them out
Pro Tip: Do NOT Use Gas To Clear Snow
Someone in Nebraska did not get the memo.
Police posted on social media the following:
If you live in Olde Towne Bellevue and are currently pouring gas onto the snow and trying to light it on fire as a form of snow removal, you cannot do that. Our officers are on the way to talk to you now.
Not only is this dangerous, it doesn’t work!
