Is Your Morning Coffee Bad For You?
One researcher thinks so.
Dr. Deborah Lee says that drinking your early morning coffee is not the best thing as you are messing with your body’s natural hormones meant to wake you up naturally.
Both Shags and Trevor did not appreciate the findings of this article.
Trevor explained, “We have to be up, alert, and funny super early in the morning. How are we supposed to do that without our coffee?”
Shags replied, “Wait, you think you’re all of those thing WITH coffee?!”
Trevor Catches His 1st Trout & Limits Out On Opening Day!
Friday, Shags and Trevor took the show on the road and broadcasted from Montauk State Park for opening day of trout season in Missouri.
Shags was determined to get Trevor a fish after last year’s choice to take him outside of the park where they both got skunked.
This year, they stayed inside the park and Trevor caught his first fish on the 3rd cast. Shags provided salmon eggs as bait which both were sure helped as well.
The two of them stayed out for about 40 minutes until the both limited out .
What Movie Did You Like More On The Second Watch?
When Trevor watched the latest Dune movie a few years ago, he didn’t like it. He found it confusing and slow paced, but was surprised that everyone else seemed to really enjoy it.
Fast forward to last week. Trevor watched a video on YouTube explaining the first Dune movie which helped Trevor understand it. (Yes, the movie was too smart for him). He then rewatched Dune and enjoyed the movie more. He hopes to watch Dune 2 tonight to have a review tomorrow.
This brought up the question, what movie did you enjoy more on the 2nd watch?
- The Big Lebowski – The movies plot is all over the place, but on the 2nd watch you get more of the jokes and laugh harder at the one liners.
- Shawn of the Dead – You could probably put any movie directed by Edgar Wright, but this one is the original. There is so much foreshadowing going on that you find new things on the 2nd, 3rd, and even 10th rewatch!
- Fight Club – Knowing the twist ending and going back to rewatch the movie contextualizes things in a whole new way.

Shags & Trevor Avoided Embarrassment
Shags and Trevor were invited to once again emcee the annual Conservation Federation of Missouri’s Annual Awards Banquet last Friday.
The pair did not mispronounce a single persons name, stayed professional, and most of their jokes landed.
Not only that, but they were able to recognize several leaders in Missouri Conservation including Sara Parker Pauley who will be retiring this year.
The kicker was at the end of the evening there was a contest to win a fly fishing rod. Shags wanted it really bad, but it was Trevor, the guy who doesn’t fly fish, who won it and took it home!
Shags is still upset.
