Chris Kennedy

Playing classic rock all day still feels like the greatest job ever created.  I’m a lifelong Midwesterner who now calls Mid-Missouri home.  Growing up, our house was always filled with music (louder when Dad wasn’t home).

While in college, I landed an overnight gig at the very station I grew up listening to.  From day one, I realized the best part of the job isn’t just the music, it’s meeting listeners who love it just as much.  That same connection drives me today, not just on the air, but in the community.

Off the mic, you’ll probably find me outside…hiking, biking, or chasing the perfect photo.  I also love being in the kitchen (sometimes even without setting off the smoke detector), and I firmly believe the best way to know a place is to eat your way through it, and Mid-Missouri’s got plenty of options.  You want to talk baseball?  I’m all ears.

I’ve had the privilege of emceeing fundraising events, hosting radiothons for Children’s Hospitals and childhood cancer research, raising money for veterans, running marathons, and even joining an annual 465-mile run to support families facing pediatric cancer.

Favorite Movies: Shawshank Redemption, the Jason Bourne series, every John Hughes classic from the ’80s (Uncle Buck, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off), and most baseball films—especially Bull Durham.

Food: I’ll try almost anything (except Brussels sprouts). The list of foods I do like is a lot longer.
